creating a beyonce morning routine

When you get up in the morning, do you feel dreadful and a lack of energy. Are you the one who groans about the thought of parting ways from your bed.

I used to be the person who was not a “morning person”. I could sleep for 12 plus hours if I had to. And being anywhere before 11:00 a.m  was not even possible. When I started my new position, boy did I get a wake- up call. I was required me to be at work by 6:15 a.m It was dreadful. By noon I’m all over the damn place. During the day all I can think about is how I have to wake up around 5:30 the next morning.

Now I am pretty pumped in the morning. I start my days pretty early no matter what took place the previous night and I do certain things that will set me up to have a pretty successful and productive day. So here, I wanted to share some tips:

Plan out your day the night before. I always do a outline on a sticky note of what I need to get accomplished the next day in all areas of my life. I make sure I am prepared for meetings and know when they are. By doing this it makes me prepared and in control.
Wake up and meditate and/or say daily affirmations. When I wake up I take ten minutes to meditate and center myself. Especially if there is a lot of chaos going on in my life, I make sure I start the day grounded. I then take a couple extra minutes and recite daily affirmations to myself. Repeating affirmations that boost your confidence and make you feel like you are ready to conquer the world is key.

Eat a light, healthy breakfast. I’ve heard so many people say they do not like eating breakfast. But its the fuel your body needs to get going. If you eat something light and healthy, you won’t feel weighed down. You’ll feel energized. As well if you are feeling like after you eat you have no energy, you should evaluate the things you are eating and the way you are taking care of your body. The “Itis” is not healthy lol

Expose yourself to sunlight and get a bit of exercise. Have you ever noticed that when you are in a dark room with heavy blinds that do not allow sunlight in, you can sleep for pretty much the whole day. That is because sunlight is like our body’s own natural alarm clock. It tells us when it is time to rise. Exposing yourself to the sun will tell your body that it is time to get up. Then getting a bit of exercise in will give you energy. Lately every morning I have been exercising and eating right and afterwards I feel like I can go conquer the world and do a CIA mission all by myself! It’s amazing. So even if it’s taking a five minute walk outside, get moving.

Get started. In the morning do not procrastinate. I know it is so easy, especially on your off day to lay around a little bit longer. Do not give into temptation. Get your ass up and get moving. You’ll thank me for it.

Lastly, learn to love your life. I know it sounds corny, but when you genuinely love what you do, you won’t have a problem getting up in the morning or not feeling motivated. Think how early you can get up when you know that day you will be heading to a vacation. Creating the life you want to wake up to is key. Create an amazing morning routine that will get you on track to creating your dream life.

Whatever it is. Get up. Be positive. Be inspired. Be productive. Get shit done.
